Arrive Cochin. On arrival you will be taken to Cochin for sightseeing. Later proceed to Munnar.
Munnar, the most popular hill stations in South India, situated at the confluence of three mountain streams Mudrapuzha, Nallathanni & Kundala. It was once the summer resort of the erstwhile British officers in South India. Sprawling tea plantations, picture book town, winding lanes, trekking & holiday facilities make Munnar a unique experience. Overnight at Hotel in Munnar.
Day 02 : Munnar
Today after breakfast, we take a tour of Munnar, visiting the world's highest tea estates spread like a green carpet over a large area. Later we visit Eravikulam National Park, the best place to see the rare Nilgiri Tahr (mountain goat). This sanctuary was set up for the preservation of the endangered Nilgiri Thar (animal sighting is subject to luck). Later visit other tourist interested places. Overnight at Hotel in Munnar.
Day 03: Munna to Thekkady (Periyar) - 4 hrs drive
After breakfast, drive to Periyar (also known as Thekkady).
Today we explore one of the finest wildlife sanctuaries in India, the Periyar Wildlife Reserve. Set on an attractive lakeside, it is South India's most popular Wildlife Sanctuary. Periyar is a place to cruise on the lake & gives an opportunity to see wildlife. It is home to tigers, leopards, elephants, bison, antelopes, sambhar, wild boar, monkey, a wide variety of birds. Next we explore the sanctuary to experience the beauty & ecological pattern. Optional Spice Plantation & Boat Ride. Overnight at Hotel in Periyar.
Day 04 : Periyar to Alleppey. 4-5 hrs drive.
Alappuzha, also known as Alleppey is considered to be the oldest planned city in this region and the lighthouse built on the coast of the city is the first of its kind. A city with picturesque canals, backwaters, beaches, and lagoons, it was described as the one of the places known as the "Venice of the East" by Lord Curzon. The Backwaters of Alappuzha are the most popular tourist attraction in Kerala. Overnight at Hotel in Alleppey.
Day 05: Alleppey to Kovalam – 4 hrs drive
After breakfast, check-out from Hotel and proceed to Kovalam beach. India’s most spectacular beach resort, Kovalam is a sheltered natural bay. Enjoy the luxury of its sun and surf. A beach paradise. The boundless blue of the Arabian Sea and the unwinding miles of fine sandedbeaches washed by the surf which roars and hisses at the feet of the stalwart palms. If you are interested, on the way you can go for a brief Trivandrum sightseeing including darshan at Sri Padmanabhaswamy Temple (strict dress code is there)
Day 06: Kovalam
Relax at Beach.
Day 07: Kovalam to Trivandrum airport (30-45 mts)
