This rich green, sleepy little village of Kumarkom is located on the Vembanad lake amidst mangrove forests and coconut groves. Kumarakom is an enchanting picnic spot and provides boating, fishing and sightseeing experiences that are truly exhilarating. The slender coconut palms standing here, there and everywhere, its never ending paddy fields, meandering lagoons and backwaters, mangroves nesting birds of a hundred varieties can peacefully calm and invigorate your mind
Day 02: Kumarakom
Enjoy the backwaters and walk around nearby villages
Day 03: House Boat Cruise to Alleppey
Today by noon, embark your House Boat from Kumarakom and cruise through Alleppey.
This is a unique opportunity to leisurely explore and enjoy the beauty and tranquillity of the Kerala. The backwaters consist of a network of lakes; coconut shaded canals and estuaries – tiled and thatched cottages bright with hibiscus dot the embankments and the cantilevered Chinese fishing nets hang over the water. Witness local life with children swimming and playing in the water, women attending to their daily chores and men fishing from their canoes. On arrival embark your exclusive House Boat for overnight staty.
The houseboats that we use are modern, furnished and consist of a thatch-covered lounge/dining area; One or Two bedrooms with attached bathrooms and all modern amenities. Thatched awnings on both sides of the boat allow the breeze and views to flow in. Meals are cooked on board and the house boat is staffed with a captain cum deck hand and a cook. (Air conditioning will be functioning only in the bedrooms) Photographs shown are samples and each house boat vary.
Day 04: Alleppey to Cochin airport.
After Breakfast, disembark Your House Boat and proceed to Cochin airport.
